The licensing of ORNL-developed negative-emissions direct air capture, or DAC, technology to Holocene, and Anca Timofte's participation in Innovation Crossroads has been recognized by the Federal Laboratory Consortium with an Excellence in Technology Transfer Award.

Innovation Crossroads at CES: Pitches and presentations

Alumnus Don DeRosa of Eonix and fellow Rajan Kumar of Ateios Systems pitched their companies’ technologies as part of a mini-showcase of DOE’s Lab-Embedded Entrepreneurship Program. In events hosted by Extreme Tech Challenge, EarthEn competed in the Deep Tech Climate Innovations Challenge pitch competition and took home the top prize. Read more

EarthEn is a finalist for the Edison Best New Products Award. The gold, silver, and bronze winners will be announced at the 2024 Edison Awards Gala in Fort Myers, Florida, on April 18.

Teknovation reports that Shift Thermal is looking for a forward-thinking partner willing to invest time and resources in exchange for being on the cutting edge of cooling, working with the company on a field demonstration this summer. The ideal partner would be a company that uses chillers for onsite cooling and is interested in reducing its electric power consumption during peak periods.
